SOVEREIGN INVESTMENT
A sovereign investor that builds champions
Mubadala's 2025 Annual Review is the institution's own account of a year in which assets under management rose 17 per cent to US$385 billion, deployment reached a record US$39 billion and proceeds rose 27 per cent to US$38 billion. Two points stand out. Proceeds almost matched deployment, the mark of a portfolio that rotates capital rather than accumulating it. And the stated strategy is to build national champions at home while deepening its global presence. For a Nordic company, that reframes the question: less whether Gulf capital will invest, more whether it can become part of a champion.
